FAQ
What does Metabolic Conditioning mean?
Metabolic Conditioning, often abbreviated as Met Con, refers to a form of training that focuses on improving the efficiency and capacity of the body’s energy systems, particularly the aerobic and anaerobic systems. It typically involves structured workouts that incorporate high-intensity exercises, interval training, and circuits to elevate the heart rate and increase metabolic demand. The primary goal of metabolic conditioning is to enhance overall cardiovascular fitness, increase endurance, and promote calorie burning both during and after the workout. It often involves functional movements and full-body exercises to improve strength, endurance, and metabolic efficiency.
Do the coaches correct your movements?
Our coaches are there to organize and facilitate the workout, lead every person to feel confident in their movements, and correct anything that might cause problems. Our coaches do not do the workout alongside you as a demo only. We are actively coaching through the entire workout and may be hands on with movements to give you that personalized touch every step of the way!
Is this class high or low impact?
It can be either! Every exercise typically has multiple levels of modifications to fit any exerciser. If you know that you should avoid high impact movements due to joint stress or a previous injury, let our instructors know and we can give you an exercise modification that keeps you from jumping or landing in a high impact way!
How do I sign up for my first class?
- No sign ups are ever needed! Check out the class schedule available on this website and attend the class that is most convenient for you. If it your first time visiting us, we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the class so you have time to complete our guest waiver forms and your first class is ALWAYS free to try.
